These conditions govern booking and participation in the tours of 4U Madrid Walking Tour. By booking a place, you agree to these terms. If something doesn't suit you, please contact us before booking and we can discuss it.

1. How to book

From the booking form from this website, indicating language, date and number of people.

You will receive an email confirmation with the date, time and meeting point. That confirmation is your reservation.There's no need to print anything or show any proof.

Online reservations must be made with a minimum of 24 hours in advance. If you need something for today or tomorrow, write to us on WhatsApp and we'll try.

2. Price and payment method

The city tours operate by free contributionThere is no payment required to book, and at the end of the tour, each participant decides what to contribute based on their experience and their means. There is no minimum amount and no obligation to contribute.

The contribution can be made in cash or electronically at the end of the tour.

The A visit to the Prado Museum is the exception.It has a fixed price that is paid upon booking, as it includes museum admission. Its terms and conditions are detailed in section 5.

3. Meeting point and punctuality

Unless we tell you otherwise, we'll see you at the Puerta del Sol, portal no. 6, opposite the ZapShop shoe store. Look for the purple umbrella aloft.

Arrives five or ten minutes before to locate us calmly.
The routes They leave on time. The group cannot wait for anyone who arrives late, and in that case there will be no right to reschedule.

4. Cancellations and changes

Cancel a pay-what-you-want tour It is completely free. And you can do it right up until the moment of departure. We do ask, however, that you let us know: we'll free up the spot for someone else and avoid waiting for you.

To cancel, reply to the confirmation email or contact us via WhatsApp.

We may cancel or modify a tour due to unforeseen circumstances, weather conditions that make the activity unsafe, or if the minimum number of participants is not reached. In that case, we will notify you as soon as possible and offer you an alternative date. We go out rain or shineRain alone won't cancel anything, so bring comfortable shoes and something warm.

5. Specific conditions for visiting the Prado Museum

This is a private tour, for groups of 2 to 6 adults, and it works differently:

The price includes the museum entrances, who buys and delivers your guide, and is paid in full when booking.
The time will be arranged with you via WhatsApp, within the specified time frame. 11:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m., Monday to Friday.
We'll meet in front of the museum ticket booths, at the Goya Gate, with a ten-minute grace period. The museum is strict about the reserved entry time.
Until three minors under 18 years old They can accompany you without paying admission or tour fees, always with a minimum of two adults.

In accordance with article 103.l of the consolidated text of the General Law for the Defense of Consumers and Users, There is no right of withdrawal for leisure activities booked for a specific date. However, for self-pay tours, we apply a more favorable cancellation policy than required by law.

6. Participation in the tour

The tours last about 2 hours and 15 minutes The tour involves walking through the historic center, with stops along the way. It's advisable to be able to walk for that amount of time.

The under 18 years old They must be accompanied by a responsible adult and do not need to be included in the reservation.
We ask that you follow the guide's instructions, especially when crossing the street and in crowded areas.
We can ask someone to leave the tour if their behavior is offensive, puts the group at risk, or repeatedly impedes the activity.

7. Responsibility

We are responsible for damages resulting from a breach on our part or from the lack of diligence of our guides, under the terms established by Spanish legislation. Nothing said here limits the rights that consumer regulations recognize for you as a consumer.

The activity takes place in public areas. Each participant is responsible for their personal belongings and their own behavior, and must follow the guide's instructions and traffic regulations. We are not responsible for events beyond our control, such as accidents caused by third parties, theft, or incidents on public transportation.

8. Photographs taken during the tour

Sometimes we take group photos for our social media. We always ask for permission first., And saying no is perfectly normal: you don't have to give any explanation and it doesn't affect your participation at all. If you already appeared in a published photo and you want us to remove it, write to us and we'll do it.

9. Claims

If something went wrong, let us know in 4umadrid@gmail.com or via WhatsApp. We prefer to resolve this directly and will do so as soon as possible.

As a consumer, you can also contact the consumer protection agencies of the Community of Madrid or of your place of residence.

10. Modifications

We may update these conditions. They apply to your booking. the conditions in force at the time you made it, not later versions. The current version is always the one published on this page, with the date in the header.
